Owner & General Manager
Born and raised in Grass Valley, California, Morgan Young spent most of his childhood in this small town, with a brief year on the East Coast during middle school. An outdoor enthusiast, Morgan enjoys camping, adventuring, hunting, and fishing with his family. He embraces life to the fullest and inspires those around him to do the same.
Morgan has dedicated over 20 years to his family’s flooring business, starting part-time in high school and transitioning to full-time in June 2005 after college. He worked his way through every position, mastering each role and training replacements before advancing.
As General Manager, Morgan has overseen two locations, managed up to 35 employees, and coordinated with 15 subcontractors daily. Over the past nine years, he has trained installers, provided expert installation advice, and ensured every job meets the highest standards of quality and integrity.
In January 2017, Morgan, alongside his wife Brittany and brother John, proudly purchased the family business from his father, Randy Young, continuing the legacy of exceptional flooring services.
Owner & Sales Manager
Born and raised in Nevada County, Brittany Young brings local expertise and a passion for flooring to her role. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband and two daughters.
Brittany joined Young's in 2004 as a sales associate and quickly made her mark. In 2006, she earned the prestigious "The Journey Continues" award at the Carpet One convention, standing out among hundreds of candidates at just 23 years old.
Now, as Sales Manager, Brittany focuses on mentoring her team and driving growth. In January 2017, she, her husband, Morgan Young, and brother-in-law, John Smith, proudly took ownership of the company, continuing the family legacy started by her father-in-law, Randy Young.
Sales Consultant & Assistant Sales Manager
Meet Ashley, a Nevada City local since 2007, who moved from Petaluma at 19. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and family time.
Ashley began her journey at Youngs as a receptionist, quickly advancing to Sales Consultant in 2012 and Assistant Sales Manager in 2017. With expertise in tile design for bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces, she also consults on hardwood, carpet, vinyl, and window coverings. Ashley’s passion for design is backed by years of training and hands-on experience.
Warehouse Manager
Meet Gabe! Originally from Romania, Gabe moved to Grass Valley in 2015. In his free time, he loves exploring the outdoors and gold panning with his son in the local area.
Gabe joined Youngs in 2015 as an installer’s helper and quickly took on more responsibilities. By 2016, he was managing the off-site warehouse, ensuring smooth operations. Gabe handles most of the deliveries and prepares installers each morning, playing a key role in keeping projects on track.
Window Covering Estimator & Installer
Meet Logan, who was born and raised in Nevada City. He loves to fish, hunt and be outdoors.
Logan worked for Youngs back in the early 2000s as a crew member assisting in flooring installs. He rejoined the team in 2016 as the Tile Warehouseman, where he was soon promoted to the Tile Warehouse Manager. After some time, he has taken on the role of our in-house Hunter Douglas installer.
Sales Professional & Assistant General Manager
Meet Chuck, born in Oklahoma and moved to Nevada County at age 4, where he was raised. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his beautiful family and farm animals.
Chuck started working for Youngs in 2004 as a commercial installation crew member. He moved up the ladder and was installing on his own in 2006. He specialized in sheet vinyl and custom hardwood installations. Over the years, he's completed many flooring courses.
